Reinhard Liepolt Preis for Domenico Savio


Domenico Savio, student of the ICC Interuniversity Cooperation Centre Water & Health and the Vienna Doctoral Programme on Water Resource Systems was awarded the '2016 Reinhard Liepolt Preis für Donauforschung' of the ÖK-IAD. It was the first study presenting a high-resolution analysis of the bacterioplankton diversity along the midstream of the Danube River along its shipable course of 2600 km and its tributaries based on high-throughput sequencing.
